Improving maritime transport Safety with Shiploc

Jun 25, 2022

June 25 is “The Day of the Seafarer” in recognition of the invaluable contribution seafarers make to international trade and the global economy. This day now forms part of the annual list of United Nations Observances. CLS would like to take the opportunity on The Day of the Seafarer to honour the world’s 1.5 million seafarers for their unique and all-too-often overlooked contribution to public well-being.

Recent violent and shocking incidents, especially off the Gulf of Guinea, are a reminder that Piracy and Armed Robbery remain one of the most important challenges for the maritime and offshore industries.

Because the dangers faced by those on board are real, CLS provides seafarers with an anti-piracy system called ShipLoc, protecting your fleet by managing security alerts from anywhere, on the go and complying with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) SSAS regulation.

For more than 20 years and from the launch of the SSAS regulation from the SOLAS convention, CLS has been continuously providing SSAS services to the maritime industry and has established itself as one of the most reliable SSAS solutions provider on the market.

Shiploc focuses on what really matters: peace of mind and reliably, protecting your crew and your vessel wherever they may be.
